Update
My sister made it through the surgery. One hernia repaired, all other organs looking good. One recommendation for a colonoscopy after she recovers from surgery.
I spoke to her husband (who was rushing off to see if he could get into the recovery room to see her, aww) and to the patient herself a few hours later. She wanted to speak to me so I wouldn't worry.
See why I love her?
She'll be recovering in the hospital tomorrow...on her birthday, poor thing.
Thankfully she'll be having loads more birthdays in the future.
