The sshg_exchange Winter gift exchange postings have begun. So much wonderful art and fabulous, smutty stories...but The Beginner's Guide to Breeding Peacocks made me laugh out loud several times.

If you enjoy SS/HG/LM fan-fic, you will love this. It is smart, funny and sensual without being crude.

So far, the fest has been very enjoyable. Unfortunately, I had to pull out (RL being a bitch), however I am really enjoying the stories and art so far.

I just read that - saw it rec'd by another on my flist. Have to say that I loved it - and you know how much SS/HG I (don't) read!

Sorry your job is so frustrating. Don't know how unemployment is around you, but it is bad here. I just hope I can hang on to what I have, even if it isn't much.

Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful to have a job. I just wish I could do something other than being on the phone day after day...which in my department...there are other choices if you're lucky. Which I haven't been so far. But maybe soon...

Oh, I know. But it's sad that if you do have a job like yours or mine that is less than ideal, it can be scary to contemplate changing, even if another opportunity comes up, because you don't know if that will last, and maybe you should just stay where you are. At least if it's an opportunity in the same company, that's a bit safer. I hope.
