Oh, good points, all of these! I too liked the teachers actually getting to do some awesome magic. Not having centaurs or house-elves really did affect the battle. I suppose they blew their CGI budget on other things, but it would have been nice to have all those creatures brought together again. And the Malfoys, yes!

Also, I heard someone else pointing out that they left the theatre with a friend who hadn't read the books, who said, "So, was Snape evil or not???" *facepalm* That totally wasn't clear, that even as Snape died, Voldemort had never discovered him as a double agent!
