When it's something within your comfort zone (or close enough outside it that it's manageable), I highly, highly recommend yoga for helping to tackle anxiety. Your PT should be able to recommend specific poses to avoid, and most studios are good at working around injuries if you tell them you need help. There's lots of types of yoga, and the one I practice (when, um, I get my own self out of the house - though at the moment I'm blaming winter) is Vinyasa Flow. Looks like there's a studio near-ish to you.
