It's been snowing all day

I took pics randomly every few hours today. Thankfully, work closed, but I had already called in. I'm too anxious to be a passenger in a car out in that crap. So, on with the pics!

Took these at about nine this morning.

I took pics out the front door and the back door every time, with a few others thrown in, too.

These were next around eleven.

Hubby put some birdseed out on the porch since the seed we put out in the yard was quickly covered with snow. The cats really enjoyed the show.

We are in middle Tennessee, so we got about 5 inches so far. Oh, yes, it's still snowing. Flurries, mostly. The east coast is going to get hammered tonight and tomorrow.

Nice little dusting! I know, it's a bigger deal for you guys. ;)

The storm is going to miss us entirely. This time.

For me it's epic. I've never seen the like before, coming from FL originally. Hubby says he's never seen this much snow here in his lifetime, either. Glad it's going to miss you, I was worried.

I didn't think you even really got snow in Tennessee. It's so far South compared to Denmark. We generally get some snow in winter, but rarely loads. I suppose you are also quite a way inland, where we've got loads of coastline and the Gulf Stream fairly close by. The sort of amount you have there is what I would call 'borderline-loads' around here, I think. Certainly 'a great deal'.

Where we live, in the Tennessee Valley, we usually don't get a lot of snow--and what we get usually melts within a day. This is epic for us and it's still here today. Our grandkids are coming over in a little bit and I'll be taking more pics of them playing in it. :)

It's all relative. Last winter, I had snow half way up my windows - pretty epic for here - and the Canadians were still laughing. (Then there are the Alps, where the pic in the icon was taken.) Enjoy it!
