I actually already booked the flight and the con tickets. I am surprised at myself because this is so far out of my comfort zone I am literally shaking with adrenaline right now. But I'm also very excited.

Smoke was kind enough to offer to share her hotel room with me, so I'm staying at the Con hotel too!! Bonus!!

I have watched a few videos on YouTube recently, and it looks like fun. I hope my anxiety doesn't do me in. I'm usually not good with a bunch of strangers. But I know Smoke will take good care of me, and maybe I'll get to meet some of you guys too, if you're going.

I'm equal parts thrilled and terrified.

But I'm going. EEEEEEEE!!!!

MISTI-con is lovely. It's sufficiently small to make it un-intimidating, and my experience of the social atmosphere was that it was completely accepting. Want to be with people but too shy to speak? That's perfectly okay. Socially awkward? Also okay. Over-enthusiastic? Just like half the people there.

I'm so happy for you that you're taking the plunge.
