Happy Memorial Day!

Hope everyone on the f-list is having a good day today. We are home, being lazy for now as we have babysitting duty later.

I am making hamburgers, devilled eggs, potato salad and mac and cheese for supper...a half-assed attempt at picnic food. I wanted to do baby back ribs in the crock pot, but hubby said the grocery store was out of the ribs. Well, I'll just get some for next weekend. ;)

Saw POTC3 yesterday, it was LOOONG. I liked it, but I wished I'd taken the time to watch #2 before I went to see it because I spent the first hour of the movie trying to remember what had happened in #2. heh. Over-all it was good, I won't post any spoilers, but I will tell those who have not seen it and want to--stay for the end of the credits. I didn't, and found out later I should have. Good excuse to go back, no? ;)

Hubby said the most romantic thing ever the other day.

Hubby: Have you seen (online friend's) latest vid on YouTube?

Me: No, why, what's going on?

Hubby: (online friend) has met someone on YouTube. He's been seeing her for a while now and decided to get her nickname tattooed on his back. His vid is about that.

Me: (sputtering) How long has he known her??

Hubby: (smirking knowingly) Oh, like no one who meets online could ever fall in love...

Me: That's not what I mean! He's only known her for, what--three months max? And he's getting her nickname tattooed in giant letters across his back? We've been married for nearly seven years, why don't you get my name tattooed on your body somewhere?

Hubby: (grinning and bending down to whisper in my ear) Because it's already tattooed across my heart. I love you, baby.

Me: (dissolves into a puddle of teary goo)

All together now....AWWWW.

Yeah, you're cuteness makes me want to hurl. ;)

I saw PotC on Friday. I liked it but still like the first one best. I thought that was the best with creativity- I LOVED how they did the undead pirates and the attention to detail when it came to "real" light vs. darkness. So cool. Plus it's always fun being introduced to brand new charecters. Every sequil has to live up to those first moments of falling in love with new charecters and whatnot.

Still, a very cool film. I can't wait to get my mitts on it on DVD so I can watch all the "how to" stuff and bloopers.

Me too, both the liking the first one best and can't wait to get my hands on the DVD of #3.

During the climactic battle scene, when the villian was walking down the stairs I was thinking "I hope the DVD shows how they did this."

psssssssssssssst
