Randomness

Went to the company Christmas party last night. It was fun, the food was adequate. Apparently the guests are allowed to bring in their own liquor which I did not know...but our table mates shared and I got nicely toasted on the wine. Not drunk really, but nicely lit. Hubby danced several dances with me which was the best part. There were pictures taken which will be posted once I get copies. The high point of the evening was that hubby won a door prize which is a new digital camera. Nearly everyone at our table won a prize which was awesome and random.

This week I begin the process of finally giving in to the inevitability of having to get dentures. On Thursday I have an appointment to have three teeth pulled...hopefully I will heal without complications...

Christmas shopping is about halfway finished. Most of what is left will be gift cards and certificates...hey sis, does Jose have a copy of Casino Royale with the new James Bond? Does he want one?

Put up our cute little table top Christmas tree. It's very festive.

Guess that's all for now.

Thanks for thinking of Jose - but we saw the movie in the theater and it has been playing on the cable movie channels so often that we have the script memorized - he does like and use Lowe's, Chili's, Outback, Olive Garden just to name a few - hopefully your area is doing what ours is now and selling all sorts of gift cards at the grocery chains - Talk to you soon! Yep, Publix will be getting a visit from us probably tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas, we were stumped!

I'm telling you next year I think the gift card thingy is the way to go. Was in Wal-Mart yesterday and they have a whole bunch of different restuarants and fast-food ones now but the best thing was all the different gift card holders they have! They were so cute & festive and different shapes and sizes so to throw the receiver off at least a little bit - yup, I think that is the way to go, the older I'm getting, unless I start in January like two of the smartest woman I know did/do (Grandma & Mom.) I always teased as to why they started so early...now I know why - hahahaha!!! Luv, Beth
