DH2--Spoilers within...you have been warned

The things I liked overall:
  • Loved Shell cottage. Loved Bill and Fleur together.
  • Loved the entire adventure in Gringott's. Especially the dragon getting its revenge.
  • The Room of Requirement was awesome.
  • Ron and Hermione in the Chamber of Secrets.
  • Loved McGonagall--in fact, all of the teachers. Loved that they got to show that they are 'rather good at magic' this time.
  • The duel between Snape and McGonagall. Awesome.
  • Neville and Luna! (I've written that pairing!) asylums.insanejournal.com/wizard_love/19798.html
  • Fiendfyre
  • Snape's death. I had tears in my eyes.
  • The Prince's Tale. Done very well--even if AR was too old for some of the scenes--the scene when he is cradling Lily's lifeless body on the nursery floor--I wept fresh tears. Wish they would have left in the line "Would you like me to do it now? Or would you like a few moments to compose an epitaph?"
  • Neville frigging Longbottom.
Things I didn't like so much:
  • They didn't explain about the Polyjuice.
  • No House Elves helping (or anywhere)
  • Snape's memories were in his tears? No, just no. They could have done the memories correctly.
  • No Centaurs in the forest or the battle (that I could see).
  • The film was so DIM. Not DARK but dim. I had read a review that mentioned that and I have to agree. The print was poor.
  • I was disappointed that there was no Trelawney heaving crystal balls from the top of the stairs.
  • Very disappointed that Snape didn't get to say "Lately, only those I could not save."
  • The Malfoys leaving Hogwarts. I HATED that part. As I said on [livejournal.com profile] shiv5468 's journal comments, if that was Jason Isaac's big contribution, it sucked. The Malfoys were to be in the Great Hall, redeemed at the end. Not slinking off like thieves in the night.
  • The final confrontation was not in the Great Hall. Didn't like that the conversation between Harry & Voldemort was shortened. I wanted to hear him defend Snape.
  • 19 years later. *shudder*

All in all, I liked it. I think it is the best of them all. I want to see it again!

Tell me what you thought, f-list!

Neville was supposed to slash Nagini right in front of Voldemort and everyone. Dagnabbit, it was his one big ROCKSTAR, You Picked The Wrong Boy Who Lived, Muthafucka moment, and nada. WTF.

"Not my daughter, you bitch." - said in the most bland tone of voice ever. No sense of satisfaction from that at all.

In general, though, I loved it. Cried like a total baby at all Snape-related things. Sniffly as I think about it now.

Yes, I was disappointed in Neville's big scene. But I wasn't disappointed in Matt...wowza.

Molly's line got applause in the theatre I was in...
