So excited!

I just booked tickets for hubby and I to see Neil Gaiman in Nashville in July during his upcoming tour for his new book, "The Ocean at the End of the Lane". We get a book along with the price of the ticket, and hopefully he will do a signing after.

We just missed him in Florida because we moved two weeks before he appeared there in support of "Coraline". I sent my son the money to buy the book, he went and got it autographed for us.

*sigh* I know that Neil Gaiman is not everyone's cup of tea, but Hubby and I had many conversations about his work while we were dating online. (Hubby recommended him to me.) If I had to confess, I'm a little in love with NG, and am so very happy to have this opportunity.

It gives me something to look forward to besides the twins. Something just for us.

I hadn't heard of him, but I will say he's good looking. ;)

Here's a link to a commencement speech he gave last year. *sigh* That voice!

Oh, that is a nice voice! I'm sure you'll enjoy yourselves.

(I sent you an email at the yahoo address. I have two for you, I hope that's the right one.)

The yahoo address is the best one. The gmail is mostly for spam. :)

I'm so happy you're getting to see him! It's always a thrill to hear someone whose work you adore read from it and talk about it. I spied a friend of mine reading "Good Omens" yesterday and impressed him by quoting heavily from it. Gaiman's a writer of great imagination, and he's someone whose success I'm glad to see. Have fun!!

oooooo, Good Omens is one of my favorites. I also enjoyed his Sandman comics (most of them, some not so much), and Anansi Boys better than American Gods.

But my favorite is Blueberry Girl, which I've bought for my daughter and granddaughter.

Eeee! How exciting! I had the amazing opportunity to meet Mr. Gaiman a few months ago while he was traveling with the Unchained Tour. He's a brilliant storyteller and an all-together nice man. He signed my copy of The Graveyard Book - see??
