Two days until my holiday

Which is only three days long, not counting the weekend, but we are going to Gatlinburg to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and I can't wait to get away.

On the other hand, I did write 4k words this weekend, and I'm very pleased with my [livejournal.com profile] sshg_giftfest story so far and hope to write a couple thousand more before we leave the computer behind.

Hard to believe it's been 15 years.

Oh, and my beloved tablet, Star Lord, has a battery problem. Which I'm really cheesed off about since we paid a lot of money for this thing and I expected the battery to last longer than 14 months. It is reluctant to charge, literally taking days, and then uses up the charge in half an hour.

Meanwhile, the first generation Nook reader I have is happily charging and holding the charge as I read my books.

Grr. I'm going to have to take my tablet over to the Geek Squad and hope they can fit it with a new battery.

Or just buy another tablet. I can get the same one now for 150.00 less than I paid for this one. So, it's tempting.

You might try a new charger cord. My iPad cord broke, s I bought a lovely long one on Amazon, apple ones are too short and $$. A bonus is that the new cord charges my iPad faster.
My iPad is from 2011, battery still great. I'm not a fan of blackberry, I have BB from work, and they are such a pain, fail frequently.

The cord was the first thing I tried. Didn't work. :( Apparently, this happens with these devices.

There were some suggestions on Google to pry the back of because some wires might be loose, but I'm not comfy doing that.
