TAR Musings

This entry will be interrupted several times by explosive cursing from your intrepid reporter. Why, you ask? Because the stupid local weather folks broke in to the show at least three times with bulletins. Since I only make appointments to watch TWO programs per week, one of which is TAR, I took it rather personally. Fair warning, there are expletives ahead.

Now, on to the musings!

First, the Previouslies:
BJ & Tyler start out with no money and get none from MoJo. The other teams are over-confident on the plane that they will escape from BJ & Tyler and are massively disappointed. MoJo arguing. Fran and Barry having problems navigating the prison. Ray and Yolanda back on track. Fran and Barry eliminated. We are down to four teams.

My guess is no one this leg. (Predicted at 7:01pm CST)

We open with more gorgeous Australia beauty shots. Including Phil.

And Eric and Jeremy get on my nerves right from the start with their comment "animosity is fun."

MoJo shows their cluelessness with the remark that "the teams are getting mean." Pot, may I introduce you to kettle? Yeah, look in the mirror. When you lie about "waiting for a bus," you don't get to call the other teams "mean." Everyone wants to win the million just as much as you do.

BJ & Tyler's "power word" is "T-Tow?"

Hee, everyone got taxis and we have another infamous Hours Of Operation bunch at the Swan Bells Tower. Hee, the cabbie told Monica she could sleep at his place for free. Love those wacky Aussies.

Eric says he doesn't let Jeremy out of the house. I can believe that.

Ray and Yolanda and BJ and Tyler call for cabs. Good thinking. Ooooo, Eric and Jeremy call for cabs and then they cancel the other teams' cabs?? DICKS. Man, I hate them. I hope Karma bites them on their toned and tanned asses. SOON. Or a croc does. Unfortunately, I don't think the Aussies will allow that to happen.

Did Tyler just say "It's not worth a million dollars to piss someone off?" Dude. It'a a million dollars. RAAAAACCCCEEEEEE.

And wow, Karma comes around quickly and smacks the shit out of Eric and Jeremy as everyone else gets a cab except for them! Their cab never came! HaaaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Whew. Take that you asses. I'm so glad that Karma reared up and chomped on your asses so fast.

BJ and Tyler, please stop talking about the Yield. You have to beat another team to it before you can, you know, actually use it.

Ha, ha, Karma smacks Joseph, too.

Okay, here's another airport bunch.
Yawnnnn...and another Hours of Operation bunch. Two in one show. Scintillating television. ZZZzz.

Snap! Wow! Crocs Bite! And they move fast! Maybe they will have a bit of Ass for breakfast! The crocs are ready for their close up! I'm not sure if my nerves would be equal to walking among the crocs, to be honest.

"See ya, wallets." Hee.

OMG it's going to be a race to the Yield between BJ & Tyler and MoJo!! Oh wow, the next task is skydiving. Yay!

BJ and Tyler got there first and Yielded MoJo! I'm glad. Usually I don't agree with using the Yield as revenge, but in this case, I'm glad they did it. MoJo, IMO, have no real reason to be nasty to BJ and Tyler. I cannot remember any kind of tension between these teams...if I'm wrong, please someone let me know. Wow, my heart is really pounding, that was exciting for me. And of course, Monica is crying about how "it's not fair" waaa wa wa.

Haaa, all the other teams passed them and made their way to da planes! Da planes!

MoJo are arguing. It's not so funny now, is it? I bet you both would have been laughing your asses off if you had Yielded the other team, so just shut up.

Okay, off topic for a minute here. WTF is up with Wes Craven's Amex commercial? I have never understood it.

If this local weather update eats into the show---I'll be pissed. That shit (storm) is so far away. Damn this is so not fair (to take a page from MoJo.) Okay, we're back and we didn't miss any of the show. Whew.

Okay, Jeremy, who tells someone before they go skydiving "I hope your chute opens"?? Idiot.

Annnd Monica: still crying. Big baby.

"Great way to see Australia." You've got that right.

OMG, Jeremy is flirting with Yolanda! He totally said if Ray wasn't there, she'd be in trouble.

Oh, wow--MoJo were arguing and didn't notice the sand had run out of the hourglass. Way to go once again, amazing cameramen and amazing editors!

Man...I want to skydive someday. As soon as I get some weight off, I'm totally doing a tandem jump.

Shit, Phil is so damned hot. Yowza.

Oh wow, Aboriginal Digeridoo players! Awesome.

All the young men are doing the "Wet" detour.
Ray and Yolanda and MoJo are doing "Dry."

FUCK==ANOTHER INTERRUPTION FOR A WEATHER UPDATE!!!===FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK==I BET THEY SHOW THE FUCKING COMMERCIALS!!! HAAAATE!!!

Okay, the show comes back with MoJo in the car calling BJ & Tyler sleazy. Whatever. I don't know what, if anything I missed. So, if anyone can update me, please do.

Yolanda says to Ray "You were in band, right?" Ray says, "Yeah, I'm musically inclined." Hee.

EW. Those spiders are HUGE.

Wow, Ray did really well. Yolanda keeps laughing, but she finally does it.

Is there anything in Australia that isn't beautiful?

OMG Eric and Jeremy caught up to BJ and Tyler really fast. I wonder just how hard it was to get through that river? I may have to check out the insider videos on cbs.com this week to see why it took so long. Usually in the "reckless/chicken" (thanks again for the terminology, Television Without Pity) detours, the "reckless" choice has the advantage of being faster. I'm not so sure this was the case here.

ACKKK!! How did MoJo get finished so fast? Are those tribesmen giving them a break? Because it totally didn't sound like Joseph or Monica made the right sound.

Yay! Welcome, Ray and Yolanda, you're team number 1! Wow, their greeter is HOT.
And you win a 1 year lease on a beautiful Mercedes Benz just like the one you've been driving today! Ray is all smiles and asks if the steering wheel will be "right." Phil assures him the car will be "set up for America." Hee.

FUCKING WEATHER BREAK IN AGAIN!! GOD!! *tries to call sister, who supposedly watches TAR, finds out from nephew that sister is apparently ASLEEP, so DAMN, there's NO ONE to call and it's only TEN FRIGGIN MINUTES TO GO...stomps into bedroom and very maturely throws notebook and pen against the door and flops down on the bed and tries not to cry.*

So, the show comes back on and we see that the remaining three teams are all following each other down the same road...and shit, it's gonna be a footrace.

Eric and Jeremy team #2.
Monica and Joseph team #3 (unfortunately).
BJ and Tyler (because Tyler didn't bother to put his shoes back on--dumbass) team #4. Again. And, as I predicted, it's a non-elimination leg. So, Phil mugs them of all their money and what few possessions they have and they are still in it, much to Monica and Joseph's chagrin. I wonder if they will let Tyler keep a pair of shoes?

Next week: Thailand. Monkeys! (Monkeys always bring the funny.) MoJo arguing some more (yawn).

O/T: My awesome sister sent me some pictures of my gorgeous grandsons. I'll do a longer picture post soon, but here's a sample:

Here's Tyler, my son's son:

And Nathan, my daughter's son:

OMG, I can hardly stand the cuteness! (Only 13 more days until we're in Florida!)

Those are some very adorable kids!

[identity profile] rayvyn2k.livejournal.com 2006-05-04 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Aren't they? I wish I could see them more often.

[identity profile] islandsmoke.livejournal.com 2006-05-04 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
They are cute. But I guess kids have to be, otherwise....

*no, no, I didn't say that*

[identity profile] rayvyn2k.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
You are right...and I have said that same thing myself! Hee!

Your synopsis is right on (as usual - you should right for TWoP) so I guess you didn't need me to fill in any blanks! James was mistaken, I was not sleeping when TAR was on, he never checked! I had come home fairly early for me in the last two weeks (5pm EST) out of sheer exhaustion, fed the animals and laid down in my room. I napped until about 7:30pm but when I awoke, I did not make my status known to James and hubby as I was savoring my alone time HEH! See you soon! Luv, Beth

duh I used the wrong spelling of "right"!

I meant write!

I feel better now! Beth

[identity profile] rayvyn2k.livejournal.com 2006-05-05 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
I am not nearly clever enough to write for TWoP! I appreciate the compliment. James didn't check because I told him not to...I know how hard you've been working and if you were sleeping I didn't want him to wake you for that.

BTW...one of those pictures you sent is of James and wow---we couldn't believe it! What the hell happened?? He looks fantastic!
