Still here.

I'm here, still depressed. Having good and bad days.

I have been updating my old, multi-chaptered fic "The Binding of Hermione" which I've given a new title, simply "The Binding".

It has been substantially rewritten as I'm trying to make it as canon compliant as I can (except Snape doesn't die and EWE, obvs.)

Warning for Non-con & abuse in early chapters, but I'm exploring recovery from abuse (of which I am knowledgeable because of my past), mental illness (of which I have some experience, too) and healing and treatment for those things.

Of course, there's lots of lemony goodness as this started as a PWP that developed a plot.

Originally, Lucius was going to be the big-bad of the story, but that's changed, too.

Snape and Hermione are accidentally magically bound together due to a potion which results in an empathetic connection. I'm trying to finally finish it, there's 3 chapters up so far. A couple more are nearly rewritten. Then the hard part...new stuff!

Please check it out at AO3: The Binding

I hope any of you who are willing to read it will let me know what you think of it.

Oh! I just recently re-read this fic over at Ash. I'll definitely hop on over to AO3 and check out the shiny new version and let you know.

I'm happy to hear you are working on completing it. I've enjoyed the story thus far and can't wait to see what happens next.

Why not make a post over at [livejournal.com profile] sshg_hub and tell your fellow sshg shippers about it?

Thank you. The version at AO3 is VERY different, be warned. I think it's better. And there will be another chapter posted by the weekend, I think.

I just joined the Hub today, so I didn't want to rush in and rec this...it just felt unseemly.

I will, but not today. If someone else thought the AO3 version was good and wanted to, well, there's nothing I can do about that, is there?

And FYI, the Ash version will be going away once I have the AO3 one rewritten to that point. They won't let me post without moderation and their mods are not consistent with their criticism, which is why I'm moving it.

I will recommend to you one of the fics at AO3 called "Promises" which I wrote ages ago and is a personal favorite.
