Chapter 9 of The Binding is being a bitch

It's taken me two weeks to write 3600 words. I was stuck for most of that time. Finally had a breakthru mid-week last week and managed to fine-tune what I have.

Still need another 2-3k words before I can put it up, tho.

I knew it would be harder, but damn.

The Binding Updated

Chapter 8 is up.

Chapter 9 will probably take longer.

A sequel to one of my other stories has manifested itself in my brain...I vomited out six pages the other night.

I am putting down all this creativity to my new anti-depressant.

It's fantastic, having all these ideas...even at work.

The Binding now stands at 59k words. I'm astounded. I figure another 2-3 chapters to go. We'll see. ;)

The Binding Updated-

Chapter 7 is now up.

Chapter 8 is in the works. I was afraid if I took a day off, I might slack off, but that hasn't happened, thankfully.

Been reading some fic, some of it fantastic, some dreadful.

I need more fantastic fic in my life, I think.

Nothing much else to report. Same shit, different day, bigger pile.

Chapter 6

Is posted.

Chapter 7 is complete and just needs another once over and Chapter 8 needs a couple more scenes.

I'm going to stick to my once a week schedule, because the writing is harder now that I've exhausted most of the already written material from the old story.

Earlier today, I remembered that Alan Rickman was no longer among the living and I cried. Still grieving for him, which surprised me. He will remain alive in the movies and in my heart, I guess.

Nothing much else happening here. Just scribbling, scribbling. Loving it. I wonder if my new antidepressant has something to do with my ability to write again?

Still scribbling like mad

The Binding is now up to five chapters and nearly 34k words. EEK!

And I am so proud of myself because I'm still writing every day. In fact, as soon as I've finished this entry, I'm moving to Chapter six.

*shameless begging* I am so anxious to hear what you guys, my friends, think of it--good or bad. I hope you will give this new version a try. Pretty please? /shameless begging

Nothing much else going on here. Hubby and I gave blood yesterday (well, I tried, but they wouldn't take it because of my medications, bastards) since the need is so great.

Guess that's it for now. Gotta get the Word doc up since I have the house to myself for a couple of hours.

The Binding Updated

Horrible event yesterday. Horrible. Triggered my anxiety, although I count it a win that I made it to work for half a day.

Spent the rest writing madly. The muse is still here, and The Binding now has four chapters up. Chapter four is over 10k words by itself. Heh. I combined the old chapters four and five so the flow wasn't interrupted. I like the characterizations better with the rewrite. And the plot is similar...I'm trying to incorporate a tiny bit of canon.

Works better in my opinion. Please read and let me know what you think? Kudos are fine, but I love comments. :) (Doesn't everyone?)

Wrote another 2k words today.

The Tony Awards last night was fantastic as usual. I love watching that programme. The Hamilton company chose a song I wasn't expecting...probably so they could sing "...history has it's eyes on you..." to Lin-Manuel Miranda. Hee. I like to think so. Still, it was nice to see "The Battle of Yorktown" performed. And they decided to do it without their muskets, which was nice.

That's it for now. Must go to bed since my scribbling has been keeping me up too late.

Still here.

I'm here, still depressed. Having good and bad days.

I have been updating my old, multi-chaptered fic "The Binding of Hermione" which I've given a new title, simply "The Binding".

It has been substantially rewritten as I'm trying to make it as canon compliant as I can (except Snape doesn't die and EWE, obvs.)

Warning for Non-con & abuse in early chapters, but I'm exploring recovery from abuse (of which I am knowledgeable because of my past), mental illness (of which I have some experience, too) and healing and treatment for those things.

Of course, there's lots of lemony goodness as this started as a PWP that developed a plot.

Originally, Lucius was going to be the big-bad of the story, but that's changed, too.

Snape and Hermione are accidentally magically bound together due to a potion which results in an empathetic connection. I'm trying to finally finish it, there's 3 chapters up so far. A couple more are nearly rewritten. Then the hard part...new stuff!
