I liked the magical protections they wove over Hogwarts - beautiful!

I loved the moments of humor that snuck up on you.

Didn't like the Room of Requirement, actually. Didn't like the sets much at all. Just didn't look like Hogwarts. Reminded me of some ancient ruin, or something. I would have thought that it might have even more impact if the place looked like ordinary Hogwarts getting destroyed, not... where ever that looked like. *Let me amend that. I didn't like the RofR that they were living in. The one that burned was awesome. And the Fiendfire! Yes!

The dragon looked very... real.

Neville's moment, yeah. *grumbles* He was a rockstar, he deserved that moment!

That line of Snape's about the epitaph was classic - it should have been there! But I suppose I can see why they cut it....

The memory tears? Yeah, fail. Would have been fine, if we didn't know better.

If you weren't up to speed on what was going on, I think you'd have been lost, it was full on the moment it started. And Fred? You hardly knew he died. :(

I wish so much hadn't happened at night. My overall impression of the movie is the color gray.

But I did like it! And will be seeing it again next week in 3D.

The 'nineteen years later' sucked. But it did in the book, too.

One thing that I didn't like, and it happened all in my mind, was at the moment of Snape's death scene, I remembered a funny little thing I read about, "How long does it take Alan Rickman's characters to die?" It was a listing of just how long his lingering deaths on film are, from George in Robin Hood, to Rasputin, his characters do seem to take their time. I hate it when my brain does that!
