Happy Valentine's Day
Feb. 14th, 2008 09:22 amMushy card? Check.
Heart-shaped box of chocolates? Check.
Dinner at our favorite restaurant after work? Check.
Except for the whole "going to work" part, so far, a wonderful day.
ETA: Spoke too soon. Some sort of bug has a hold of my bowels and I had to come home for my safety and the safety of my co-workers. I needed access to a bathroom at a moment's notice.
This puts the whole "going out to dinner" thing on hold for now.

Five Years Ago Today
Oct. 21st, 2005 06:03 amI married the man of my dreams, my "handsome prince", the love of my life. And, things have only gotten better since that day. The card I gave him says, in part:
"With you, I've found a once-in-a-lifetime friendship
and a once-in-a-lifetime love--
You're the friend I want,
the husband I need,
the reason I have so much
to celebrate today."
And it is so true. We have become the very best of friends, and the people who meet us for the first time (like his friend's lady) can see how close we are and comment on the way we seem to be on the same wavelength--finish each other's sentences--and just adore each other.
I love him more today than I ever have. But not as much as tomorrow...(to quote the song by Goldfinger)
