In my hotel room, flipping thru channels, as you do, and I came upon Deathly Hallows, part 2. It was right at the part when Voldemort kills Snape, so ,naturally, I had to watch.

Still so sad. The memories made me tear up.

The ony problem is too many commercials. Grr.

So far, having a very relaxing time.

Dad checked himself out of the hospital against medical advice the day after his tantrum. My sister said that he had a problem with the incision site...*sigh* Stubborn man.

My sister's husband has the kidney stone from hell lodged in the upper part of his urethra. He had the sound wave blast procedure done last week, but apparently it didn't do much to help and he's still in lots of pain. As of yesterday the Urologist was taking a "wait and see" approach...which means my brother in law is in almost constant pain. (And if you've ever had a kidney stone--like me--you know what kind of agony it is.) Because of this, they might not make the trip to my Dad's...which is understandable...but disappointing for me.

Speaking of the trip, we are leaving tomorrow after work. We will be going only as far as a friend's house in north Georgia where we will visit and spend the night. Friday morning we will start from there and head the rest of the way to Dad's house near Ocala, Florida. We will return on Sunday. A fast trip, but it should be fun. My daughter, son-in-law and grandson will be there too.

Work is frustrating. They have taken all of this time to teach us how to do the paperwork and now when they're doing the phone training, most of the paperwork stuff doesn't even come in to the phone calls. But now it's "oh, you'll get the hang of it" and "don't worry, you'll learn it" and other bullshit like that. If they had taken a month to teach some of the details of the telephone questions, I think most of us would feel a lot better about taking calls. I hope I can make it through this without having a nervous breakdown--I really do not want to be doing this job, so I feel on the edge all the time.

I really wish I could win the lottery or something. That way, I wouldn't have to work.

Anyway, speaking of work...time to get my shoes on and go.

Oh, and it was in the teens here last week and this week it's heading toward the 70s. WTF is up with that?

We're off!

Off from work and off to Florida for a week! I will try to check in and post if I can, but there may not be time nor opportunity. We'll see.

I'm taking a notebook with me and I'll try to keep track of the happenings so I can report back next week.

Lots of pictures will be taken and posted.

Our flight leaves at 9:45am CST tomorrow and we'll be back Sunday by 10:30am CST.

Everyone take care of LJ for me while I'm gone!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there in f-list land!

Mine was nice...heard from both my kids and received a lovely watch from my hubby. Spent the afternoon with his folks. It was so nice being out in the country. I took my dress with me to their house (they have a full length mirror) and I have to say...it really looks nice on me. :) So, I'm a bit more relaxed now.

Only one more day and then we're off to Florida! I'm not sure how much time I'll have for updating, but I'll do my best. We're taking our camera and will have loads of pics when we get back. I have the majority of the packing finished, we just have to pack the stuff we can't pack until last minute, like hair dryers, soaps, shampoos, etc. We are not taking any chances...we're taking hubby's suit and my dress as a carry on along with a second carry on with a couple of days worth of clothes...just in case.

I wish we knew someone here well enough to have them stop by every day to keep our kitties company...but we are fortunate that one of my friends is going to check in on them every other day to make sure their food and water is full and she is even going to scoop the litter pans...which is awesome of her. (Thanks, Jaki!)

I am really looking forward to seeing the family, but I'm not sure how much of a vacation it will be for us...as we have something scheduled for every night.

Tuesday-Arrive 12:30pm est, do a drive by of the beach and on to my sister's house. I'm hoping to have dinner with my sister and my best friend on this night. (What do you say, Lisa, can you have dinner with me on Tuesday night?)

Wednesday--check into the hotel, then that night, have dinner with my daughter, her fiance and my dad and his wife. Finish by 7:30pm so we can get back to my sister's house in time to see The Amazing Race season finale. Watch that with her then go back to the hotel.

Thursday--day-I think going to my mom's house for a bit then back in time for the rehersal on the beach at 5pm and the rehersal dinner after and then my daughter is taking me to one of her favorite night spots called "Howl at the Moon" (Lisa, you're invited to come with us too).

Friday--wedding day. Morning I'm going with my daughter to watch her get her hair done, I'm going to try to find a hairdresser to style my hair because I think it'll come out better (and hers can't do it), and in the afternoon after I get ready, I'll be with my daughter doing her make up. Hubby and I are riding with the wedding party in the limo. Then it's the wedding and reception.

Saturday is the only unsure day. Either my aunt or my sister is having the family over for a get together after the wedding.

Sunday is leaving Florida early in the morning and getting back to Tennessee by 9:30am CST then Monday is back to work.

I think we'll need a vaction to recover from our vacation...what do you think?
