121212 Concert
Dec. 13th, 2012 08:44 amHubby and I tuned in last night and were pretty much mesmerized for six hours. We thought Kanye's performance was a bit of a sour note--thought they could have found a better rapper (and WTF is it with that auto-tune thing? Horrible) or maybe an R&B singer? Toni Braxton? Jennifer Hudson? Queen Latifah? Lionel Ritchie?
You get my point. It was a bit jarring to the ear, is all.
Loved McCartney with the rest of Nirvana. And as for Roger Daltrey with his shirt open--I thought he looked awesome. Christ, almighty he's nearly 70! (I'd do him, even now.)
Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters...just awesome.
We donated, of course. We had already donated once or twice, but had to again.
