The weekend from hell.
Jun. 12th, 2015 09:25 pmAwful last weekend. See previous post. Then triple it. My husband thought he needed to give "fatherly advice" to my son who took it the wrong way, Hulked out and, 20 minutes after dropping the kids off last Saturday, picked them back up--accusing us in front of the kids of not wanting to see his kids.
That set off a massive depressive episode that lasted for three days. Hubby stayed close, even though I was PISSED at him and he knew it. He still stayed close. Things didn't get better until I had a sit down, face to face, LONG talk with my son.
I had already had the same with my husband on Sunday. Perhaps from now on, he'll let me deal with my son, since I have more practice.
Needless to say, I'm here, I'm good, the family is all good and we celebrated my son's 32nd birthday together Wednesday night.
To make up for the awful weekend last weekend, Hubby is taking me to the mountains this weekend. That should be good. Really need the peace and to recharge my batteries and the mountains is the best place for doing so.
Leaving tomorrow morning, returning Sunday afternoon. Quick trip, but it's only 4 hours away, so it'll be good.
