What next?
Jul. 11th, 2007 08:55 amSunday afternoon, I started to put a clip in my hair to hold it up off of my face. Something I've done a thousand times before.
This time I heard and felt a 'pop' in my right shoulder. It hurt a bit, but I went on with my day.
Well, the pain got progressively worse as the day went on until I could barely stand it...and I found that I could not raise my arm above shoulder height.
Monday Hubby took me to the doctor, who said it can be anything from a bad sprain to a torn rotater cuff. So, he ordered an MRI. I went for that yesterday. Now I'm awaiting the results.
I have a sling to help take the pressure off of my shoulder and pain and anti-inflammatory meds to help with the pain. And it IS still very painful.
It's not stopping me from having a good day out with my friend...got my HP shirt on and am ready to go see HP5 this afternoon.
So, if I don't update for a while, this is why. I'm cheating by typing with both hands, but I really shouldn't be. I'm 'mousing' with my left hand which is weird, but doable.
The real test will be work tomorrow. I hope I hear from the doctor today.
edited to add: Heard from the doctor's office. There's a tear in my rotator cuff. Being referred to a specialist. I'm still going to work tomorrow...gonna talk to my supervisor and see about being on total production until this is over...hopefully, work will be as flexible with me as they've asked me to be with them...
