Project Gratitude, Day 35 (late)
Sep. 7th, 2011 08:34 amGot rushed off to bed before I could post my gratitude for yesterday...which, as I'm sure most of you know, is:
I am so grateful for the
sshg_exchange!
The posting started yesterday and it's off to a fantastic start. Can't wait to get home tonight to more exchange stories! *snogs* to all the mods, authors, artists and crafters!

Project Gratitude, Day 32
Sep. 2nd, 2011 10:37 pmYesterday I was grateful for a telephone call from my darling daughter.
Today I am grateful to be off work for three days...and also grateful for a short cable outage as it allowed my hubby and I to drag out the LoTR Monopoly game! He trounced me, but that was okay because we had such a good time. We used to play board games all the time and over the years have gotten away from them. :( (I'm sort of glad he won because he's such a damned baby when he loses and maybe we will play again soon!)
Tomorrow I intend to write...

Project Gratitude, Day 31
Aug. 31st, 2011 11:45 pmToday I am grateful for Sudafed. Those little white capsules saved my sanity today. And my sinuses.
Also grateful for three day weekend coming up. Can't get here soon enough.
In other news...signed up for
smutty_claus for the first time! Yay!
Also...soon to be grateful for my bed. Goodnight!

Project Gratitude, Day 29 (belated)
Aug. 30th, 2011 08:19 amYesterday I was grateful for my hubby AGAIN. (I told you guys at the beginning he would be the thing I was most grateful for!)
He knew I'd had a difficult day at work (still not completely well, I'm beginning to think it's sinusitis or allergies neither of which I suffered from before moving here) so he suggested dinner out at one of our favorite restaurants.
Then after we came home, he commandeered the computer so I was forced to sit on the sofa in front of the tv and nap...which is why this entry wasn't made until now.
Such a considerate man. :)

Project Gratitude Days 27 & 28
Aug. 28th, 2011 07:22 pmDay 27--Grateful for wonderfully written fanfic. Spent the entire day reading and rereading stories from my favorite author.
Day 28--Grateful for compassionate online friends coming to the rescue. I've been sick so my defenses are down. So when I got a nasty shock, I sent a desparate, tear-stained email which was quickly answered and help offered. Am now a snivelling puddle of grateful goo.

Project Gratitude, Day 26
Aug. 27th, 2011 12:15 amToday I am grateful for a number of reasons for various LJ friends.
droxy For all the fabulous fic suggestions and for urging me to post my stuff on different archives and suggesting a few. I will have to look into that as I am a review whore of the first order.
daireen For being a fantastic friend and for offering her expert assistance in my time of need. :)
pyjamapants For making a post in October of last year about the 5 minute Artisan bread. I finally (I KNOW!) made some today and it was divine. The crust was a bit too crunchy for me and my store-bought teeth, so I may have to make the next loaf without the added steam in the oven.

Project Gratitude, Day 24
Aug. 24th, 2011 11:19 pmToday I am grateful for compassionate people. Grateful I was able to stay off the phone today at work and hopefully will do so again tomorrow.
In other news, I finished and have submitted another chapter of The Binding today. :) Got the next one plotted, so will be working on it this weekend. So very happy I am finding my way to the happy ending!

Couldn't post this last night as LJ was down for me. :(
Yesterday I was grateful for my hubby bringing supper home. I have been feeling terrible for the last several days, so it was nice not to have to try to figure out something for supper.
Going to work today even tho still feeling like shite. Hate being forced to go in like this just to prove I'm really not well. Stupid corporations.

Project Gratitude Day 20 & 21
Aug. 21st, 2011 10:20 pmDay 20: Grateful for the PS3 getting knocked out long enough to spare me from watching my beloved Florida Marlins get spanked by San Diego last night. Grateful for Netflix which provided several short documentaries to pass the time instead.
Day 21: So, so very grateful that my muse seems to be back! *touch wood* I banged out the next chapter of "The Binding" tonight. Nearly 2k words in about four hours. *squee!* Also grateful for ice cream. YUM.
On the other hand--things I am not grateful for--vacation being over and work tomorrow. I am grateful I have a job--better than the alternative--but wish I could afford not to work at all.
I am so very excited about the
sshg_exchange! Heard a rumor the posting will begin the first week of September...even if not, it will be soon and I can't wait!

Project Gratitude Days 18 & 19
Aug. 19th, 2011 09:43 pmYesterday I was grateful for lazy days with my hubby. We did nothing all day except lounge around the house. Well, I did do the laundry--but only because we are uncomfortable lounging in the nude downstairs. I was also grateful for pizza delivery.
Today I am grateful for eating out with my family. Had a wonderful meal with my son and his family tonight. I am also grateful that my hubby signed us up for the MLB.tv so I can watch my beloved Florida Marlins play baseball.

Project Gratitude, Day 17
Aug. 17th, 2011 11:29 pmI'm grateful for sucking up. Today is my birthday and my hubby did not get me a card. Or a gift. And he was reminded...via a countdown...that the big day was approaching.
Not that he didn't already know because he had tickets for Rifftrax Live which we bought a month ago. AND he was off work on Monday and Tuesday.
So, no excuse.
I do have to say (full disclosure) that he did make me a card which was sweet.
So, today I got breakfast at one of my favorite restaurants, was taken upstairs and shown a mighty good time after we got home, got my haircut paid for, went out to the Rifftrax, then was taken to a nice restaurant for dinner after.
:)
Also had several cards in the mailbox when I got home and a couple of mentions on the
hgss_digest just to top off the day.
So, it started off crappy but ended up well.
