The meeting went really well. I was able to present my "case" in a logical, business-like way (a miracle), and I think what I said made sense to her. She basically let me talk and make my points without much interruption, and she sent me an email later saying she was going to take a "hard look" at the way things are and then perhaps make some changes. She also said she was very happy with the way I handled myself and presented things and that I had come a long way in that area. I trust this woman more than anyone else there--so I'm hoping that she will take what I said (which was basically that I understood why they wanted to rotate different people into and out of doing emails, but that I thought there should be one constant person *me* as the subject matter expert. That way the other reps have a resourse to go to if they have questions. I brought up a few things about our service being web-driven and also an example of how the company could save money, so I think she wasn't just blowing smoke when she said she was impressed...) and move me back to MY job! She did say nothing will be done this week (damn) but she was on it. So, my fingers are crossed, but I still have State Farm to fall back on if things don't go my way.
Hubby and I are having pizza for supper and The Amazing Race is on tonight!! YAY!
