Yesterday, I took the kids over to State Farm to show them off to my co-workers and friends. It was someone's birthday, so her desk was decorated with balloons and streamers and the baby just had a ball playing with the balloon. Everyone in the classroom just cooed and ahhed over him. I took them on a tour of the department, introduced them to hubby's supervisor and team, and of course, everyone fell in love.

After that, the kids and I spent nearly all day driving around looking at apartments. It was kinda boring for me, but necessary. (I think they are really leaning toward moving here!) So, of the six or seven places that we looked at, they really liked two--one that is run by the management of our apartments (at another, newer location) and the one where my friend from work [livejournal.com profile] afighter808 lives.

So, we thought we'd go to Outback for supper, and we went there and sat down, but Tyler had not had a nap and he promptly began melting down. There was nothing to be done but to gather him up and go home. (I was not going to try to stick it out and impose a crying, fussy baby on the other diners!) The kids were a bit upset, but hubby and I explained that we did really understand--the baby had been good as gold all day and he was just at the end of his rope. We came back to the apartment and did the take out ordering from Ruby Tuesday's and just relaxed a bit until bedtime.

This morning, I cooked a big breakfast for all of us, and now hubby has taken them off to look at two other places they wanted to see before we head on out to the farm later. We will be introducing Tyler and his mother to hubby's parents and staying overnight there tonight. The kids will be leaving from there tomorrow, so that will be sad, but the kitties will be happy to have their quiet apartment back!

To hold you all over until the next update, I have more pictures to share.
I tried to get a pic of Tyler sitting beside hubby, but the baby was too fast for me:

The rest are behind the Expandcut. )

The next update, I hope to have pictures of the baby's reactions to the farm animals!
