Aug. 22nd, 2006 07:08 pmBad day at work today. For some reason, I cannot seem to get into the groove I was in a few weeks ago. I feel unorganized and generally out of sorts lately.
We are having my car towed to the shop tomorrow (hallelujah) and hopefully we will find out what is wrong with it. And that it won't cost an arm and a leg to repair.
I am so very sad that one of our favorite YouTube-ers, geriatric1927 has decided to "take a break" from making and posting videos in order to "read his responses, watch the video replies and read the emails I've received." In my opinion, the fact that he has gotten a lot of unwanted publicity, is what is driving him to cut back. Why does everything good have to be conscripted by unscrupulous people? There are several out there who have built websites "unofficial fan sites" which Peter very specifically said he did not want. And I noticed one of those sites has ads on it. I won't link to them here--why give them more page hits?--but if you Google his nick, you'll find them. I hope you don't. What I hope you DO is go and watch his videos. They are absolutely charming, not to mention fascinating.
I forgot to plug my phone into the charger and it died. heh.
I found out that my son and his fiance are approved to move into the "sister" apartments to the ones where Hubby and I live. It's because the manager likes us and we recommended them...because they wouldn't have made it if they had to get in on their credit. They better not miss on the rent!
I started another baby blanket for another one of the women in my class. Her baby shower is in early September, so I have to get busy on it. It's going to be really pretty. I'm doing the "granny squares" again because that is the fastest.
