Jan. 14th, 2007 01:29 pmWent back to work on Thursday...still feeling a bit congested but couldn't miss any more. Hubby is still a bit weak too. Ugh.
Basically just watching the playoffs and playing on the computer. There's not much else to report.
Gosh, I'm boring.
Let's see...what's on my mind these days...
I have to selfishly confess that I was disappointed that more of my HP pals did not comment about my TAR/HP crossover fic. :( It's a Gen-fic too, so I hoped that those who are squicked by student/teacher fics would at least give it a read. *sigh* /feeling sorry for myself
Commercials for erectile dysfunction...they are calling it "E.D." now...is that because the ad companies or the drug companies think that men can't handle hearing about impotence? My own Hubby just rolls his eyes...
The proliferation of what used to be called "heavy metal" (Black Sabbath, for example) songs being used in commercials. This is the same music which used to be referred to as the "devil's music" and is now selling automobiles. Crazy, ain't it?
I just love Keith Olberman. I loved him on SportsCenter, and I love him even more on Countdown. He is one of the few journalists who is really telling it like it is...in the so-called "mainstream media" (which excludes Jon Stewart, who started it all on Comedy Central and who claims he is a comedian not a journalist and that his show is "just" comedy).
Keith's "Special Comments" are brilliant, to the point, and very critical of the idiot in the White House. Check him out on MSNBC. His first special comment on the fifth anniversary of 9/11 was one of his best: Special Comment on 9/11
And here is his remarks regarding the death of Habeas Corpus: And is he pissed!
Someone needs to give him the Edward R. Murrow award right now. In my opinion, he is the best journalist on television.
I just learned that CBS will announce the teams for the TAR All Stars on Tuesday during The Morning Show. Yay! I'm missing my TAR.
Guess that's about it for now. :)
