Work is work. I was chosen to be on a "committee" which writes and publishes the weekly/monthly newsletters for the department. That is right up my street and I'm looking forward to it.
Other than that, I still wish I didn't have to work at all.
Been playing a computer game called "Virtual Villagers" rather obsessively recently. Is it wrong that I'm getting such a kick out of playing a god? ;)
I'm also reading a lot. I've read four books in the last two weeks and am working on two more right now. For those on my f-list who enjoy fantasy, I cannot recommend highly enough the "Green Rider" series by Kristin Britain.
The temperature went from mid-thirties to mid-seventies within a week. That's one big change. It's like Nature decided to give Spring a miss and go straight from Winter into Summer.
The characters from my long-neglected novel are talking to me again. My hero thinks my first chapter is boring and needs to be rewritten showing him stealing the Winings emerald. I think he's right.
I've told hubby that I don't care how we do it, where we live, or whatever, but I want a dishwasher, a washing machine and a dryer of my own...SOON. I'm sick of hand-washing dishes and going to the laundromat. I think I deserve some of life's little conveniences.
Guess that's about it for now. Thrilling, isn't it?
