Snowflake Challenge 2016 Days 1 & 2

Day 01
In your own space, talk about why you are doing the Fandom Snowflake Challenge? What drew you to it as a participant? What do you hope to accomplish by doing these challenges?
I'm doing the challenge because it helps me post more often. I still owe a long post about holidays and books and it just exhausts me to think of writing it. Perhaps these smaller entries will help me get back into the posting spirit.
What drew me to it was seeing the post last year on some of my friends' journals and I thought it would be a great exercise.
Day 2
In your own space, create a list of at least three fannish things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a fannish wish-list of sorts.
My first wish would be to have the![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
sshg_exchange done again. I know the mods got (rightfully) hacked off at how big and unwieldy it became, which caused a lot of problems for them with the participants. I know it was a huge headache at the end there...I understand why they stopped doing it. But this is MY wishlist and that is one of my dearest wishes. There was so much great fic and art created for that fest--personally, I feel that I did some of my best writing for it. (Even though I was the cause of a few modly headaches with my perpetual lateness.) If that fest could come back in some form (Once per year only, maybe in the summer? Limit the number of participants. Only allow those who have been successful in turning in fic/art and perhaps no extensions [meeps]?)--that would be my biggest wish.
My second wish would be for a drawing or painting of Severus and Hermione waltzing in formal clothing.
My third wish is that the coming Star Trek film is better than the last one.
