SSHG Promptfest Fic finished

rayvyn2kAnd with the beta. I'm sure there will be some tweaking, but overall it's finished and I'm pretty happy with it. I may have to add an epilogue, because I've just realized I might need to tie up one loose end which is a pretty important one. We'll see what my lovely beta has to say.
It's a huge relief, because as of last week, I was afraid I might have to pull out and I didn't want to give up on my writing. So, whew.
Saw ST: ITD and liked it. Very nice homage to the original series and movies. Lovely inside jokes for the original Trekkies. Also, good use of the villain, but was a bit disappointed with his ethnicity. Small complaints.
Also have seen Iron Man 3. It was good, but I guess I was expecting much more. Loved all the Tony Stark stuff, but there wasn't enough referencing of the stuff that happened after what happened in the Avengers. I would have liked this movie to explore Iron Man helping folks cope afterwards. I did understand his anxiety attacks, they were absolutely authentic. That is the kind of thing that happens to me. I tense up, freeze, my mind is in fight or flee mode and then just gives up and wants to get away. That happens at work A LOT.
Back to work tomorrow. Short week, but if the past is any indication, it'll be brutal. There will be movie attendance again this week. Hubby wants to see "The Great Gatsby" and I'll see either ST or IM3 again.
