On a short holiday

rayvyn2kHubby and I are visiting Gatlinburg, TN, just ouside the Smoky mountains. We have been relaxing and doing exactly what we want when we want. We have eaten good food and seen pretty scenery and walked for miles. And I am slightly sunburnt.
I've got the basic idea for my promptfest story, thanks to a nudge from Mun42. I got started and didn't stop writing for an hour. (Longhand.) I'm liking it so far. Now that I have the basic idea, shouldn't have too much trouble fleshing it out once I am back at my computer.
One of the best things we did here was go to a car museum called Star Cars. There were cool cars from movies and tv. We saw Ecto1 from Ghostbusters, KITT from Knight Rider, the DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future, the BMW from Goldeneye, and best of all there was two Batmobiles! The one from the 60s tv show and the one from the movie Batman Returns. And we saw that we could buy a picture of someone IN one of the cars, so my hubby got to sit behind the wheel of the 60s Batmobile! This was such a HUGE deal for him because he's loved Batman since he was a kid. There are pics and I will post them once I get home. Luckily my camera battery (which was dying) held out long enough to get a few snaps. He had the biggest smile on his face. I'm smiling just thinking about it. (I could have done it too, but I didn't want to embarass myself by trying to fit my huge ass into a car. Once I get some more weight off.)
Sadly, we will be leaving this beautiful place tomorrow, but we will have one more breakfast and a road trip through another part of the Smoky Mountains National Park before heading home.
This trip has served its purpose...giving hubby and me a break from the real world for a while and giving us a chance to recharge ourselves before the trip to Florida the first of May for my SIL's memorial.
