Home. Tired. Happy.

This has been the third best day of this year--behind my two trips to Florida and just ahead of my folk's visits here.
We had an awesome time...here's a couple of pics to
This church was built in the late 1800's. The shingles on the steeple are original.

Most of this house is original, too. Some has had to be restored. I have some pics of the inside which I'll post tomorrow.

The library's book collection is all first editions. The oldest is from the 1600's and the newest is from the 1800's. You're not allowed to touch the books. No one reads them anymore--which I understand intellectually, but is a tragedy.
We took the road less travelled on the way home (there was no room at the inn or we would have stayed) rather than the interstate and it was the best choice. Driving through the Tennessee countryside and small towns and talking and laughing and just enjoying each other's company.
More tomorrow, bed now.
