Yay! My sister sent me the pictures of my daughter's bridal shower. And now, I'm going to share them with you!

The shower was held at Tea at Lily's which is a charming tea room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Here is the table with the guests.

And here is the Guest of Honor: my beautiful daughter!

There are ten more photos behind the cut.

My mom and sister.

There were presents! Lots of presents!
Ohhh, we love Tar-jay!

But cash is even better!

A family tradition: the beautiful, handmade garter made lovingly by my mom, the bride's grandmother.

Of course, a little something for the groom, too!

Since I couldn't be there in person, I sent my gift to my sister's house. Before my daughter opened it, I was called so I could be "in on it" so to speak. Here she is, reading the mushy card.

The first gift was from my sister and I together and it included a crystal necklace, earrings and tiara in the style of the jewellry Audrey Hepburn wore in "Roman Holiday." Here's the necklace:

Here's everything together:

My gift to her was the veil I made. And she tried it on along with the jewellry, doesn't it look lovely? Oh, and that's me there on the phone. ;)

Unfortunately, when she tried the veil on during the final fitting of her gown, both the bride and the very expensive gown disappeared. This picture is censored because no one is allowed to see the dress until May 19th. ;)

Luckily, my mom has the time and the skill to make a new veil for her using the material I should have used in the first place--tulle. I am so thankful for that! My daughter called last night and I know she was worried about telling me she didn't want to use the veil I made--but I made it easy for her by telling her I already knew and I'd already spoken to her grandmother who would be glad to make a new one. She was relieved and pleased. I don't know why they thought I'd be upset about it, I only want what my daughter wants--a gorgeous bride and wonderful pictures. Unfortunately, that material I used reflected the flash so much the pictures would have been ruined. I was worried about it the entire time I was making it. I'm just glad that my error is fixable.

Only seventeen more days until we're in Florida! Woohoo!
