MIL is still on the ventilator, but they are not giving her sedatives...as of yesterday morning.
She was still not consious when we saw her at 5:30pm. But she's not restrained and not thrashing around, either. She's just laying there, and except for the tubes and machines attached to her body, looks like she's sleeping.
Hubby thinks the rest of her body has just closed down while it concentrates on trying to heal itself.
It is so sad to see.
We were there when Hubby's Granddaddy (MIL's father) and his g/f came to visit, and after the visiting half-hour was over, they invited us out to dinner with them. We spent a couple of hours eating and visiting--which was nice.
