We had our first "really" fall day today. I don't think the temperature got above 75 all day. It was nice--although many of my work buddies were cold! Hee. I thought it was wonderful. But it did remind me that I need to buy a sweater before too long.
Everyone in FL survived Hurricane Jeanne. My mom and her husband and my dad and his wife lost power in their respective houses...but that was all as far as I know. Which is great.
Haven't heard from the kids about the grandkids--no news is good news, right?
I'm making a "Strider" costume for my husband for the "dress-up" day at his job on Friday. It is going to be awesome. He bought a "Strider" sword on ebay to complete the look,
it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I will try to get some pics if possible.
I love my job and they love me, which is even better!
Traffic is a fucking bitch. It took me over an hour to get to work this morning. I can't wait until the expansion of I-24 is completed. Part of it is paved now--and I'm just waiting for the day when someone (maybe ME) cracks and swerves wildly onto the newly paved road and careens along at highway speed until coming to an abrupt stop upon meeting the BIG equiptment. It's going to happen one day--trust me.
I am trying to think of a costume that I can make for work...it has to be something "big". heh.
I guess that's it for now.

Date: 9/29/04 08:27 pm (UTC)How many miles do you live from work? When I lived in Chicago, it would sometimes take me 90 minutes to drive the 8 miles in to my office. It sucked, and I can totally empathize.
Glad to hear work is going so well for you, even if it takes forever to get there. :)
*hugs*
