That's the date for my surgery.

I'm nervous...and hoping things will be better after than they are now...

Eventually. They will be worse to begin with, then get better.

Hopefully.

Family, please do not freak out on me. I tried the PT, it didn't work.

Surgery is darned scary, but I've had friends who had the same thing done, and it really changed their lives for the better. *hugs gently* Tell your family to chill, for heaven's sake! You're a grown up. You can make this call for yourself.

They are nervous only because my deceased brother started his downward spiral into pain-killer addiction with rotator cuff surgery. So, they are afraid. I understand. I called them tonight, and will call my folks tomorrow (it got late tonight--I spent an hour on the phone with my daughter) to reassure them.

I appreciate your support! And thanks for the report of good news...so many people want to share horror stories about this surgery, it's nice to hear something positive.

I hope so. I have to be vigilant about the PT. That's one area I know I tend to be lazy. But with my hubby nagging, I know I'll be better about it than I have been in the past.

I think you'll do the PT for this one. My father in law reached a level of comfort a while ago, but his range of motion isn't where he wants it yet. So he's still working on it. I think you will be reminded regularly by your beautiful, long hair to do your PT in order to regain your preferred range of motion! Good luck and stick to it! *salute*
