Breaking Dawn

I bought Breaking Dawn yesterday and started reading at about 1 and finished at 12:30 this morning.

I enjoyed the book very much and thought the ending was quite satisfying.



I was especially happy that Bella and Edward were together through the entire book and that they had a honeymoon with actual (implied) sex. That continued throughout the book! A newly married couple that has and enjoys sex...with each other!

I was also quite happy to see how the author handled Bella's change. I was happy that she did not go through the "wildness" of the newly born vampires of "Twilight" canon. I don't care if it was a plot device, I am happy we didn't have to see her like that.

The final confrontation was tense and exciting.

All in all an entertaining read.

I read it yesterday. I liked the beginning. I liked the ending. I found myself skimming great portions of the middle. Too much angsty pregnancy and not nearly enough Volturi. On the whole, I thought it was an OK read. I didn't think it was quite as good as the other three books.

I agree about the "mushy middle". There should have been more of the Volturi. I was glad to see a bit of happy there after the birth etc.
