It's been ages since I updated...just goes to show that when one is content there really isn't much to say.
Work is better these days for me. Since it's WORK there are some annoyances, but they are small and mostly ignorable. I had my mid-cycle review and my boss basically told me if I continue the way I've been this year, I'll be getting the promotion I think I should have had LAST year.
Hubby and I have actually been discussing house-buying again, without the angst from him, and have looked at a couple. We have pretty much decided against building a house in the country for now...various reasons...a long-ass commute to work in a OLD car...being further away from the kids...privacy... We will be visiting the bank soon to see what we qualify for as far as a mortgage loan...we want to try to move on that soon so we can take advantage of the 8k tax credit for first time home buyers...
Our cats are driving us bonkers. The two youngest have decided they own the apartment and there's no room for their mom-cat, Kira. So, we keep them separated, with Kira in the bedroom. I don't know what we'll do when we have to go away in November since we'll be gone for a week and a half and someone will have to come feed them. I don't want whoever does it (probably my son) to have to deal with keeping the twins out of the bedroom...maybe things will be better by then.
I saw and liked the new Harry Potter movie. I was happy that I did not re-read the book before I saw the film, it helped me to like it better. There are so many things that were left out in favor of other things that were put in that weren't in the books at all...that is puzzling.
I got the surprise of my life yesterday when I got an email via Facebook from the guy who took me to my Junior Prom! He was one of the sweetest guys I ever dated and I still have fond memories of him. It has really put a smile on my face and we chatted a bit via email tonight.
I'm still reading like a fiend this year and I've finished something like fifteen books so far, I think. My to be read stack isn't getting any smaller because I keep finding more books I want to read...so I haven't made a dent in it at all. Lucky me!
Watching the grandkids tomorrow night so the kids can go see Harry Potter. Wish me luck!
