Oh, what a beautiful morning!

rayvyn2kThere was a beautiful layer of frost covering everything this morning. The temperature was a crisp 28 degrees. I couldn't find my ice scraper so I used a credit card to scrape the windows before setting off to work. Went to the bank, stopped for gas and then travelled along Highway 96 on my way. Highway 96 goes through the "country" and there are beef and horse farms all along the way which makes for a beautiful commute. And the frost covered ground just made it that much nicer.
The company Christmas party is Saturday. I bought a really pretty dress from ebay for 20 dollars...including shipping! This is a 160.00 party dress, black lace on the top and a sort of chiffon type material on the bottom. It has pearl accents around the neckline and on the bottom of the lace part. Very pretty and it fits! I already have black shoes and a purse to match. My hubby will be wearing a grey suit, and we will be stylin'. I will take some pictures, and if I like them I'll post them next week sometime.
I'm working on the KA Christmas fic challenge, and I like what I have so far. I'm sure what I'm doing has been done before, but I hope I can bring a different twist to the tale. I'm trying to work in all of the "suggestions" too, which will make it interesting. I've already got two in, and I've only written two and a half pages. Hee.
My desk was moved yesterday (at work) and I'm in a much quieter location now, away from the front door. Much better so far. Working overtime again this week, trying to get as much as possible for Christmas, etc.
