Talked to my brother and sister-in-law today. My brother is doing the "being brave and strong" thing that he does--
SIL was upbeat and sweet as usual, she received the delivery of the chocolate covered strawberries hubby and I sent and was enjoying them...said they were the only thing she had eaten today.
The port was inserted today. Tomorrow is the first round of chemo. Depending on how that goes, she might get to go home Saturday.
I am thinking of using some of this yarn I found when we moved to crochet a blanket for her. Most of the yarn is the very soft stuff and I've heard that chemo patients are often cold.
It was good to hear from them, but still...very very bummed.
In other news, the
sshg_exchange is posting 3-4 gifts per day. Which is something nice to look forward to every day.
Saturday I'm working overtime for a few hours and Sunday hubby is going to leave me alone with the house for a while, so I think I'll use that time to write a few things.
I still haven't sent my latest "Binding" chapter back to Ashwinder yet. I guess I'm still gun shy. Have to find a time when my feelings are not so raw...because if it gets sent back again I'll probably just say fuck it and pull all my stuff off the archive. I don't want to act irrationally, so I'm holding off until I'm in a better emotional place.

I remember the days of fixing things to please mod 1, and having mod 2 kick it back because she wanted it the way it was in the first place! I though they'd given up on the 'one size fits all' punctuation theory and finally realized that there are too many different schools of learning out there. As long as it's readable, and makes sense, and is vaguely right, who cares?

...never mind. Just so damned frustrating--especially considering the other un-betaed craptastic shit that I've read there.
