I've been moving my fics to AO3

...from SH. I want to finish my WIP, and they simply refuse to accept the chapters as I submit them. I feel like it's personal, so I've just given up.

I have four uploaded so far. One that I wrote in '05...eek! I only corrected a bit of punctuation and grammar. I've got a couple others which were written before all the books were out that I intend to move also. Eventually, all my stuff will be there.

I still have one more gift fic to finish. Then, I'm not going to sign up for anything else unless the sshg_exchange does another round.

And this year, I may be going to Florida after Christmas (YAY!) so I will have to restrain myself from signing up for too many holiday fests.

Oh, and just so you all know, islandsmoke is wonderful, marvelous, fantastic and beautiful. I adore her. :)

Thanks to you, I'm doing the same thing. I feel like I've been very lucky not to have my explicit stories booted off FFN thus far. It's kind of fun to go through and fix typos as I'm adding the HTML tags. I'm going in mostly reverse-chronological order, though I think my first multi-chapter fanfic (a WIP...) may stay there for posterity's sake :D

Moving fic. Ooooh, I'm way too lazy for that. I understand your frustration, though. I really don't understand their way of doing things sometime. A few years ago, I wrote and objected to a fic on quality grounds, and they told me they welcomed different "styles." Style my ass; it was badly written. Being grandfathered - see the gray hair? - I don't have to worry about where the commas are supposed to go this week. I always have stuff beta'd for SPAG, but educational systems differ, and so do their betas! As you have mentioned, you fix something per the first submission instructions, and the second wants it back the way it was. I know they do try, and it's not like they're getting paid to do this, but yeah, really frustrating.
