No matter how long my doctor keeps me in the room talking at me.

I've nearly finished the prep for the colonoscopy. The worst part wasn't the 'not eating' part. (I'm not even hungry, surprisingly.) The worst part (for me, anyway) wasn't the explosive diarrhea. (Mine never got explosive.)

The worst part was the gas. My stomach bloated up like an over-filled balloon. It was as hard and round as it was when I was pregnant, only with more pain. It's still got air in it. I'm kind of afraid to go to bed, because what if the cramps start again? Painful, painful.

Luckily, I can sleep until 8, get a shower, then get over there by 9. Then breakfast. Baby and work have both been told he's not coming to work until after we have breakfast.

Oh, and coincidentally, my son is getting the same procedure at the same place a half an hour before me. Heh. (He has to get checked due to some gastro issues he has.)

I guess I'll visit the toilet one more time then venture up the stairs and try to get to sleep.

I'll report in tomorrow if I'm not too tired.

Ooh nasty. If you sleep on your stomach you will slowly deflate overnight

Luckily I sleep on my side. I got up twice during the night. It's over. They found a pollop (sp) and sent it off. I'll get results in a week or so.
