2015 books I've read-February

Last night I finished Eric Clapton The Autobiography and I can't say I was very impressed. There is waaay too much telling and not much showing. And very, very repetitious. I have to admit, I was really looking forward to reading this (I love rock and roll bios) book but it did not capture my attention and hold it, unlike Nikki Sixx's The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, which was horrifying and fascinating in equal measures. In fact, I highly recommend the Motley Crue books which I enjoyed very much.
Now, to finish the Jasper Fforde book I started (which has not really grabbed me yet, but since I like him as an author I'm sticking with it).
I also purchased two other books last week: These Are The Voyages TOS Season One, and Season Two. They are HUGE even in paperback.I want Season Three I bought Season Three today when I found it for the same price in hardcover as I paid for the paperbacks on the author's site. And it'll be autographed, too. Yay! I can't wait to dig into Season One. As I said in my Fandom Snowflake Challenge Day 5 the Original Series was my second fandom, and Star Trek still holds a very special place in my heart. I have sooo many Star Trek books, posters, photos, blueprints, models and paraphernalia of all kinds. The entire top of our bookshelf is covered with models and other stuff. And the first complete manuscript I ever helped write was a Star Trek novel.
So, I'm just a bit excited to start these books. :)

Today is Valentine's Day. Hubby did good again! He bought me the Lego kit for the spaceship Milano from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Now, that, my friends, is love. :) He got a game expansion to the Eldritch Horror board game we have been enjoying for a while. He asked for it for his birthday, which is 2/17, so I gave it to him for VD so he doesn't know what he's getting for his birthday. That's a win for me, since he knows all he has to do is mention something and he'll get it, so buying gifts for him is sometimes not fun for ME because I like to surprise people. So, his birthday gift will be a BIG surprise.
We are supposed to go out to dinner tonight, but I'm not sure if I really want to anymore. I think I'd rather stay in and maybe order a pizza or Chinese food and maybe play the new game. We'll see. edited to add: we decided to cancel the reservation and go to that restaurant next week instead.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day. And if you don't have a Valentine, I'll be yours. :)
