20 Things You Don't Know about Me

1. I refuse to eat anything I don't like, that doesn't smell good to me or look good to me. This used to cause angst between me and hubby, because his mother often makes things I don't like. But I told him I'm old enough to eat whatever I want to and if I don't like something there's nothing wrong with saying "No, thank you."
2. I answer more than 150 emails per day for my job. If I do less than 120, they think I'm slacking.
3. I have never owned a new car.
4. In the 70s, I worked for two different house bands in two different nightclubs (stagehand for one, lighting director for the other).
5. I had an orgasm when I lost my virginity.
6. I have done a threesome--twice. Once with two men and once with another woman...although we didn't touch each other--so it was more like the guy "did" two women. I kind of regret being such a chicken about it now.
7. I smoked pot regularly--meaning almost every day--for 15 years, but I didn't start until I was 25. I never did any other illegal drugs.
8. I won the "Most School Spirit" senior superlative in high school--beating out all of the cheerleaders.
9. I was not a cheerleader in high school. (Newspaper and yearbook geek, heh)
10. I spent two weeks in England and Scotland when I was 17. I was in a Scottish pub on the Bicentennial and my friends and I led the entire place in a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday, USA".
11. I met my husband online and we got married in Las Vegas almost 5 year ago. (And Lee, we are VERY happily married!)
12. I love "The Partridge Family" and I have every episode on tape. Same thing for Star Trek (The Original Series). Only I have two versions of those, one with Shatner introducing them and one with Nimoy. (From when Sci-Fi Channel first started airing them. They never finished-as far as I know-airing the ones with LN intro-ing, so that collection is incomplete.)
13. I check all of the fics I have posted on SH every day to see if someone else has posted a review.
14. I am about three chapters away from finishing my first novel. And have been for more than 5 years.
15. I am a fabulous cook. Not only can I follow a recipe, I regularly invent dishes.
16. I would have a baby with my hubby if I could and he wanted one (which I can't and he doesn't).
17. Except for the slash, all of the sex scenes I write I have experienced personally.
18. I love my husband more than I ever thought I could love another human being I wasn't related to.
19. NASCAR is my favorite sport and Jeff Gordon is my favorite driver. (Even though he did crappy this year.) Second favorite sport is a tie between American football (Go Dolphins!) and baseball (Marlins!).
20. I want a Viking funeral.
