Another pic-centric update

rayvyn2kSince I'm not working and my life has gotten extremely boring, this update will feature some pictures of my sister and her hubby and their newest family members. (After which I will be addressing Christmas cards! Can you stand the excitement???)
So, onward! Cute pics await you .
First, the cute new family members! My sister told me that her 16 year-old son's dearest wish for his birthday this year was to adopt a new cat. His beloved pet had to be put to sleep earlier this year, and he told her that he wanted a new cat "more than a thousand dollars" (the cost of adding him onto their car insurance). So, off to the Humane Society they went last weekend. The Society was having a "two-for-one" adoption (due to Hurricane Wilma, they are overwhelmed), so may I introduce to you Smokey and the Bandit?

My sister says they have settled right in and are getting along famously with their two dogs--who were both used to having cats around already. All together now...AWWWWWW.
She also sent along lots of photos of their trip to visit her hubby's relatives in NJ...which I will only post three...all of which were taken in NY or in NY harbor. heh.
The obligatory skyline shot--(gosh, I really miss seeing the WTC towers in these shots, don't you?)
A gorgeous pic of the Statue of Liberty taken by my sister. Honestly, I think it could be used as a postcard.
And last, guess who they met in NYC? Yep, the man in red.
