A Life, Wasted
Let's Stop This War Before More Heroes Are Killed

By Paul E. Schroeder

Tuesday, January 3, 2006; Page A17

Early on Aug. 3, 2005, we heard that 14 Marines had been killed in Haditha, Iraq. Our son, Lance Cpl. Edward "Augie" Schroeder II, was stationed there. At 10:45 a.m. two Marines showed up at our door.

How many is too many? How can that idiot in the White House keep avoiding impeachment? What's wrong with our "representatives"? They impeach Clinton because he lied about a blow job but Bush lies about the justification for sending our young men off to die and he gets away with it??

This is not right. Not right AT ALL.

That's extremely sad and very wrong. I'm glad that enough people are starting to wake up and realize how much crap Duhbya has gotten away with, but maybe this awareness is just too little, too late. He's evil.

I wish that more people would see him for what he is: an ignorant idiot surrounded by xenophobic sociopaths.

That's very sad.

I do hope, sort of, that some day Iraq will be a better place, but I sure don't see that happening soon, and I also don't think they will remember America as their saviors. What will be remembered is the destruction and the death, and the children of the people who were killed will grow up hating America because of it.

Bush will never think he is wrong. That's the saddest part.

I was re-reading Jingo by Terry Pratchett recently (highly recommend it) and it is about a war, and in it a character says that, and I'm paraphrasing, 'there are many reasons to go to war with Ankh-Morpork (fictional city-state in the Discworld), a lie isn't one of them.'

I thought that the same thing could be said of our situation.

Hubby and I have talked about this so much and he brought up a good point:
There were few (if any) terrorists in Iraq before the war, but now that country is full of them. I'm not saying that Saddam was the best leader or the brightest bulb in the box, but I wonder how many Iraqis wish that America had never invaded their country?

And don't forget he's allowed to phonetap americans for whatever reason he feels is nessecary and get away with that. Seems to me maybe he needs some of Bills medicine- a blow job or two could do the shrub some good.

Yep, no Amendment is safe with Bush, Cheaney and Rummy in charge.
And I have a feeling it would take a lot more than a blow job to make the idiot Bush see the light.
