Name a CD you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:
The Firesign Theater: I Think We're All Bozos on this Bus
Firesign Theater
is a comedy group I discovered back in the 70s. They have several albums, most with crazy names like "Don't Crush that Dwarf, Hand me the Pliers". Funny, funny stuff.

Name a book you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:
"All I really need to know I learned from watching Star Trek" by Dave Marinaccio. This book was given to me for Christmas in 1995. It is a cute, but fascinating (heh) book. An example: The reason Captain Kirk gets the girl is because he's the captain. The phrase "Beam me up, Scotty" works in almost any situation.

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that you think no-one else on your friendslist does:

Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella"
One of my very favorite versions of my favorite fairy tale. Before I met my husband, I thought Stuart Damon was the handsomest handsome prince I'd ever seen. The songs are gorgeous and I have wonderful memories of watching and singing along with my kids. Love it.

Name a place that you have visited that you think no-one else on your friendslist has:
Falkirk, Scotland. One of my high school friends, Carl Singmaster, moved with his family to Scotland after his freshman year. We kept in touch by writing actual letters (!) and when I graduated, since my dad worked for National Airlines, my gift was a trip to London, with a side trip to Falkirk to visit Carl. I still clearly remember spending the bicentennial in a Scottish pub, and the other patrons singing "Happy Birthday, USA". We also went to Stirling Castle and just generally had a great time.

Name a piece of technology or any sort of tool you own that you think no-one else on your friendslist has:
I don't know if this counts, but I do have a vintage hair dryer like this one. I'm pretty sure I don't have any other tools or anything that others on my f-list don't have.

Excellent meme!

"Fun's over, back on the bus!" (Is that the right one?) Anyway. While I don't have the CD, I do have the album. You know, vinyl, round, 33 1/3 rpm...

Don't have the book or the movie.

Missed Falkirk - took the more direct route from Edinburg to Perth. ;)

Hair dryer? Oh, yeah. That's what you use to thaw out your pipes in winter. But not that kind.

I can't believe you've ever heard of Firesign Theater, never mind have an album!!! (!!!) No one I know knows who they are! (I knew there was a reason I liked you so much!)
I never had the vinyl, but I had the 8-track tape. And it's the one where they guy winds up going to some amusement park... and there's a ride called "The President" and he breaks it...
God, now I'm going to have to listen to the CD again.

"Nick Danger, Third Eye"

"Waiting for the Electrician, or Someone Like Him"

My favorite: "We've sent your luggage on ahead - where is it you're staying?"

Firesign Theater rules! In fact, I was listening to them last week in my friends car - "Now the gum is on the other shoe!"

I've been to the Falkirk district. And Stirling Castle! ;)

Nat and I are planning a trip to the UK next summer. I've got to show him all my old haunts!

Yeah, I knew that was kind of a long shot. I should have said "Rugby, TN" instead. :)
