For your "entertainment" pleasure...here are the rambling thoughts I wrote down during tonight's episode of "The Amazing Race."
Behind a cut
Wow~Munich is gorgeous!
(So is Phil!)
Hmm, no film of the "eat, sleep, mingle" at the pit stop. Guess the frat boys didn't get much action from the Danis. I find that strangely comforting.
And for the first of many interesting pronounciations of "Palermo," here come the beach bums:
"Pol-e-mo." At least they are self-aware...they said "We're being idiots, like usual." Truer words were never spoken.
And Lake's tooliness shows itself again tonight. It won't be the last time.
E & J playing with the wheelchairs...they make me want to barf. OH Hehehehehehe, one of them fell on their head. Aaand the hippies join them for some wheelchair slalom. *eyeroll*
Finally, someone decides to actually "work" the airport. BJ & Tyler follow Lake and Michelle to the internet connections...but Michelle can't find the "English" page, so the boys book their flight online first. Heh. Awesome.
Awww, Nerds in love. Reminds me of me and my sweetie.
Monica un-ironically claims not to be a dumb blonde, and that she surprises people with her intelligence and then she mis-pronounces "Palermo" by saying "Pole-er-mo."
Wow, Barry and Fran working the airport the next morning getting feisty!
WTF? E&J continue with the "luck of the dumbasses" and get on the same flight as BJ & Tyler.
Aand Yolanda says "Palomino." Buwahahahahahaha!! The Danis actually said it correctly! Go Danis!
Lake shows his tooliness again with all the racka-fracka regarding all the teams "catching up." Have you EVER watched this show?? It's called an airport bunch. You're lucky this year there haven't been as many hours of operation bunches, or production-created bunches. Ass.
The hippies in Palermo, accompanied by bouncy Italian music! They outplayed the idiots...hee.
Lake is frustrated for a third time. *snorfle*
Oh. My. God. Is one of the idiots actually taking the time to check his hair in the rear-view mirror? There isn't enough ick in the world to describe how much I loathe these two guys.
Whoa, I had to stop writing there for a minute. Phil is smoking hot in his black turtleneck sweater, suade jacket and jeans combo. *fans self*
I actually shouted at the tv when the Nerds grabbed two clues. It was close, but they must have heard me. If they would have opened two, there would have been a penalty. Whew.
Love the shot of the Italian folks leaning out of their windows watching the detour task with the teams searching the hanging laundry. They were so amused by the hippies, it was awesome.
Christ on a cracker--don't these people watch the show?? There is no excuse for any contestant on TAR-friggin-9 to not know how to drive a stick shift! None!
I'm not real crazy about the "Yeild" but BJ & Tyler should have used it.
MoJo are freaking out just a little, but they have a helper. Wow, Joseph is strong. He horked that heavy bell up about a hundred steps by himself. Geeze, that's impressive.
*facepalm* Fran and Barry passed the cluebox again.
Michelle actually cheered when Lake grabbed the clue. I guess he needed that.
Wow, Ray and Yolanda are both gorgeous. And strong! And HE also horked that damned bell up all those stairs.
Awwww discouraged Nerds! Keep looking!
Oh, crap--Ray and Yolanda were doing so well...then they got lost.
Segesta, Sicily has some gorgeousness all it's own.
Do BJ & Tyler's tee shirts actually say "Bowling Moms?" Hee, a shout-out to this team from TAR 5. And...welcome, BJ & Tyler, you're team number 1! And you win this lovely Kodak camera and stuff. Hee, they made Phil laugh.
The idiots are team #2 and are really sore losers about it. Or maybe they're just losers.
Oooo the Roadblock statue puzzle has two extra pieces. Eviiillll producers.
Lake and Michelle going the wrong way...YAY!!!
Monica and Joseph, team #3.
Fran and Barry refusing to tell Lake and Michelle the way to the roadblock...I have to admit, I giggled. And the oldsters are team #4.
OH NO THEY DIDN'T! I can't believe it! Toolie man and his harpy wife yielded the Danis!! How fucked up is that??
Aaaannnndddd Lake does another Roadblock. Hmm. Wonder how this is going to play later in the game?
Lori is exhausted and getting frustrated by the statue puzzle. I think if she wasn't so tired, she might have realized there were two extra pieces instead of freaking out about not finding where they go...c'mon, Lori...use your head...don't panic!
And Lake is an ass for the umteenth time in this episode. Oh, by the way, Lake and Michelle-you're team number 5. Now get the hell off my tv.
Awww, Ray is so sweet..."my baby has great thighs" and she does. So does he.
Yay!! Lori figured it out! Dave and Lori, you're team number 6! And awwww, he got a tear in his eye because he thought he was too hard on her. I am so in love with them!
Hee, Ray is so funny building the statue..."I'm coming like Christmas!"
The editors tried the whole fake-out with who would make it to the pit stop first...but it's Ray and Yolanda...team Number 7.
I'm finding myself hoping for a non-elimination...but no, here come the Danis and they are Philiminated.
Awww, they were sweet...EW, WAIT. Did they just say they'd be friends with the idiots forever? EW.EW.EW. Bye, girls! Perhaps it is for the best.
Next week~~Harassing the locals!
