Before we start, I just have to say that the McDonald's commercial with the blindfolded girl being fed by her so-called boyfriend is really stupid. And he's not getting anything from her, either.
Okay, on the previouslies (tm TWOP) they showed the "bitch--shut up" thing again. And I still think that the Fast Forward was really unfair. Fast Forwards should not be "needle in a haystack" type of tasks. And damn, that bridge is even more beautiful at night.
(As I watched the opening credits, I realized I had completely forgotten about John and Scott!)
It is 8:04pm CST and I'm predicting a non-elimination episode tonight.
More commercials??? Okay does anyone think that "RV" is going to be a good movie? I wish Robin Williams would make better choices.
Wow, Greece is still really gorgeous and so is scruffy Phil!
They are going to Oman, the desert. Nice.
Hee hee, the "hours of operation" bunch will take away E & J's advantage.
I hate seeing Ray and Yolanda arguing. I think that they are perhaps suffering from a bit of Killer Fatigue (tm TWOP).
Hee, "omen."
The hippies rip their clue at 8:51am...it doesn't look like they'll make the first bus...and they didn't.
I hate to inform them, but Fran and Barry were NEVER the "Genial Grandparents" of the race.
Wow, BJ just did a spot-on impersonation of Lake.
Ahhh, Airport Bunch, I love you so much. Hmm, BJ & Tyler take a different flight--I wonder if it will pay off for them?
Oman is a stunningly beautiful city and it's nice to see every one of the teams acknowledge it. Even the McDonald's looks like a museum. Wow, I'd be afraid to drop anything!
Nope, it didn't pay off for BJ & Tyler.
Hehehe, another hours of operation bunch! So, the hippies will catch up. I love it when the production team does everything they can to frustrate the teams in the lead.
Ray and Yolanda are still discussing their arguement. Angrily. This is not good. Shoot, did she just say "don't speak to me?" That's kind of not possible what with the whole "teamwork" thing the race requires.
Wow, that fountain was pretty. And it seems like navigation is going to be a theme tonight.
Speaking of navigation, I love the man who guided the teams across the first flood! He was so awesome! And, I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to drive through that deep water. I've tried driving in deep water before and it's not fun.
Phil has shaved and he still looks yummy.
The detour is Watchtower or Camels. Hmm. Not sure there's much of an advantage for one or the other. I think it's hilarious that Eric and Jeremy are doing the camels, though.
Dang, that camel is not happy! Oh. My. God. They are actually winching up a camel to load it into the back of a Toyota pickup truck. And no, it's NOT the big one! I have to say that camel looks really funny all bundled up in the back of the truck.
Speaking of camels, someone says something about camels being bad and the very next shot is of a camel "honnnnnnkkkkkk-ing" with its mouth open wide so you can see all its teeth. I actually laughed at that. I've said it before, I'll say it again, the editors of this show rock. HARD.
Another thing I love is how the racer's will mis-pronounce a city name and the next moment there's Phil's voice-over with the correct pronounciation. It is so subtle, it's awesome.
MoJo found the camel drop off site first! Eric and Jeremy are lost and I'm hoping the foreshadowing from earlier when they said they would probably come in last is true. And I'm now hoping that their prediction comes true and I'm hoping for an elimination. Theirs. But with the luck they've been having, they would come in last and it would be a non-elimination and then I would shriek in agony.
I just love how all the folks who are not doing the roadblock are all talking about how hot it is. And there is a massive bunch at the Roadblock. MoJo get done first and head out for the pit stop. The Castle of Jabreen. Wow.
Aww, Barry is exhausted to the point of tears. BJ is just running on pure nerve and he is so upset.
Okay, now I'm hoping for a non-elimination again.
Eric and Jeremy's shortcut is not so much. And I can't tell you how torn up I am about it.
Okay, MoJo left the Roadblock first, but they stopped to ask for directions and Fran and Barry passed them.
And now, the words I never thought I'd hear Phil say:
"Fran and Barry, you're team number one!" And they win a trip to Rome.
MoJo must have really gotten lost because it is nearly dark when they check in as team number two.
Eric and Jeremy still lost.
Ray and Yolanda, team number three. They tell Phil they are trying to work on their relationship, but him flipping her the bird might have been a deal-breaker for Yolanda. She's still angry about that and he hasn't apologized for it yet.
Alright, here's the obligatory build up of "suspense." Will Eric and Jeremy get to the mat first, or will BJ & Tyler? Phil and the greeter are waiting...the camera guy runs up the stairs...and it's...
Eric and Jeremy, sadly walking toward Phil. Oh, I love how Phil psychs them out. LOL. Eric and Jeremy...You're team number four.
Sadly, BJ & Tyler are the last team to arrive. Annnnd...another brilliant Phil phake out...as he tells them they are last and then tells them it's the non-elimination episode I predicted. Phil mugs them for all their money and possessions and they won't get any money at the start of the next leg. They are just happy to still be in it and I really don't blame them. And there are worse places they could beg money than one of the richest countries in the world.
Next week, Australia! Phil's home country! And it's MoJo's turn to fight with each other!
